Disability Challengers 

In this role, I work in a team to provide one-to-one support for young people with disabilities, exploring the importance of play. We provide support for our young people tailored to their needs with the intent of fun and safety. I use my safeguarding to make sure each one of the young people attending challengers is safe, cared for and having fun. We put the child’s needs first, focusing on play and helping them express themselves in a safe environment. Challengers provide resources which give many new opportunities and room to celebrate individuals for who they are and respect their identity, needs, wishes, choices, beliefs and values.

Summers  

Summer Boarding Courses 

Over the Summer I worked with this company at international summer camps. I had a role as an Activity Leader, a role responsible for planning and delivering the wide range of exciting activities that SBC schools offer to students. These activities are a central part of the summer school experience, providing students with opportunities to engage, have fun, and make lasting memories. 

At another Camp I had the role of College Mentor being actively involved in the pastoral care and supervision of students, as well as the planning and delivery of engaging activities and evening events.

Freelance 

Screaming Alley - Drag and Cabaret

On occasion I work with the Screaming Alley production company based in Ramsgate, Kent. This is a nonprofit organization that specialises in radical cabaret, and gives a stage to performers. In summer 2023 I shadowed both the company manager and creative director and worked back stage during Screaming Alleys largest show of the year. Over easter 2024 took on the role of stage-manager during a showgirls cabaret night.

Staple Stores Bakery 

In this employment I worked as part of the team in a busy artisan bakery and café, working wherever business needed me from front of house to kitchen porter, and have been trained as a barista. Responsibilities included: Serving customers, barista, food preparation, stock management, cleaning and locking up

BA Hons Film Production 

I am in my third year at the University for the Creative Arts, a university in accreditation with BAFTA, Albert, BFI and ARRI. This course has allowed me to nurture my passion and pursue my specialism.

No one working in film and television should ever be injured or killed whilst working on a production. Health & Safety training for everyone in the industry should be mandatory.

The Mark Milsome Foundation Film & TV Online Safety Passport course provides a ScreenSkills recognised, Level 2 Production Safety Passport valid until 18 October 2030
